THE ORGANISATION:

Headquartered in the North-East, our client is an established utilities contracting company serving an extensive client base throughout Ireland with high quality upgrades and improvements to installed utilities infrastructure.

Employing 240 people across Ireland and UK, the company’s success is based in its drive for Safety, Quality and Excellence in Engineering, underpinned by a firm focus on customer satisfaction and project delivery. The company possesses the highest Standard Safe-T-Cert Grade A, along with having ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations. To support its continued success and ambitious expansion plans, the firm is now seeking to appoint a Head of Delivery.

THE ROLE:

Leading a significant team, the Head of Delivery will have overall day-to-day responsibility for operations and will ensure that the customer service targets set by the business are achieved within the framework of safety, reliability, efficiency and budgetary constraints. Working closely with customers and with all functions within the company, and beyond, the Head of Delivery will ensure that a responsive, safe, and quality-driven service environment prevails.

THE PERSON:

This role requires an experienced Operations leader from the Utilities sector, or equivalent, who understands the complexities of field service delivery and the associated delivery challenges. Possessing an exemplary attitude to health, safety and wellbeing, the appointed candidate will demonstrate significant knowledge and experience of technical field-services delivery, coupled with the vision and abilities to deliver customer-driven, commercially viable solutions, across multiple locations.

In addition to being an excellent leader of people with significant planning abilities, the successful candidate will be a clear decision maker with excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills across all channels. He/She will have the capability to build solid, credible working relationships with individuals and groups at all levels.

A relevant technical qualification is required plus an appropriate safety qualification, with an additional leadership or management qualification preferred.
