THE ORGANISATION

The Health and Safety Authority has a wide and varied regulatory mandate which includes acting as the national body with responsibility for occupational health and safety, market surveillance of industrial products and chemicals and acting as the national accreditation body for Ireland through the Irish National Accreditation Board.

We are currently growing and transforming our organisation and are looking for a dynamic, committed and experienced person to be our Chief Executive Officer.

THE ROLE

As CEO of the Health and Safety Authority, the person appointed will work with the Board and staff to lead and manage the delivery of our strategic priorities and goals and our varied legislative mandate.

The person will also be responsible for shaping and promoting the vision of the Authority, leading a multidisciplinary team of over 300 staff, engaging with national and international stakeholders and advising the Minister and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Remuneration for the role will be in line with public sector policy and will reflect the seniority of the role.
