THE ORGANISATION

The University has ambitious plans for future growth and new academic areas. To lead our student recruitment, we are seeking applications for the post of Assistant Registrar & Director of Admissions.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Vice-President Academic/Registrar, the Assistant Registrar & Director of Admissions will lead the student recruitment and admissions functions, advise the University on student recruitment, and manage the liaison with schools and other external stakeholders. You will lead the undergraduate and postgraduate admissions teams, be responsible for liaison with schools and outreach activities, and work closely with the International Office in admission of International students. You will be responsible for the admission procedures and processes, and be the key interface with the Central Applications Office (CAO). You will work closely with a wide range of functions across the University, lead the further growth of the University’s applications and identify opportunities for programme development across the University’s portfolio.
THE PERSON
You will possess a minimum of 5 years proven relevant experience, ideally in the higher education sector coupled with a good understanding of student recruitment and admissions processes, and the Central Applications Office (CAO) system or other student application system. You will have the skills to develop a strong network of relationships with schools and other stakeholders, in order to further grow the University’s student intake. A strategic thinker, you will demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and understanding of both Irish and international education systems coupled with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You will possess appropriate academic and/or professional qualifications related to the principal role accountabilities, with a capacity to lead and innovate as the role continues to develop.
